10 Things to Know -- twice a dayAug. 22, 2012 as seen here, was sent today to AP members and subscribers:
The Associated Press is adding an edition of its popular 10 Things to Know, the weekday feature highlighting late-breaking news, upcoming events, AP exclusives and stories people will be talking about around the world.
The AP's Nerve Center in New York will send the new version of 10 Things to Know at 9 p.m. ET, Sunday through Thursday, starting Aug. 26. The AP will continue to send the freshly updated weekday morning offering of 10 Things to Know at 6:30 a.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
These daily quick-read tipsheets are aimed at giving audiences and customers a jumpstart on the very latest news and top headlines, along with a guide to the stories that will be the most discussed and shared online.
The AP's 10 Things to Know was launched a year ago to help outlets targeting drive-time audiences. It quickly became one of the AP's most popular digital features.
The new version of 10 Things to Know was created to meet the ongoing, 24-hour needs of digital customers. It also is in response to requests from newspapers for an additional AP list to provide to print readers as well as online and mobile users.
Both offerings will be part of the Top Headlines package on the AP Mobile apps.
