AP Images adds Blend Images and North Wind Picture Archives as new content partners on new B2B site
NEW YORK – AP Images, a commercial division of The Associated Press, announced today the addition of Blend Images and North Wind Picture Archives as new content partners. Their images will be made available on AP Images' recently launched B2B site aimed at professional image buyers, joining content from the National Football League, Ebony and Jet, VII, NCAA and NBC Universal.
“By bolstering our creative imagery offering, we are making it convenient for our customers to access and license the photos they need,” said Fernando Ferre, global director of AP Images. “Blend and North Wind’s unique imageries complement our award-winning AP editorial photography. These additions support our goal of making APImages.com the most robust, single source destination to the world's largest collections of historical and contemporary imagery.”
Blend Images is firmly established as the world's largest multiethnic commercial stock agency that offers ethnically diverse business and lifestyle imagery. North Wind Picture Archives specializes in historical images and hand-colored artwork that portray world history from classical civilizations to the 1900s, extensive coverage of North American events and portraits, including all U.S. presidents from Washington to Wilson.
The new AP Images site touts enhancements such as: new landing pages (go directly to Entertainment, Sports, News, etc.), facilitated search (enriched metadata of photos), internationalized marketing content (read about AP Images in 9 languages), faster log-in and registration and much more. The site is integrated with the Cooliris browser add-on, which instantly transforms a browser into an interactive, full-screen 3D experience for viewing still photos online.
