AP Metadata Services is a new automated service that applies rich semantic metadata to news content. It’s comprised of two components: AP News Taxonomy, a classification system designed specifically for use by news publishers and the AP Tagging Service that employs semantic rules to news content.
AP Telecom (APT)
AP Telecom (APT) is a delivery service from the AP that transmits stories, releases and photos directly into newsrooms at media outlets around the world. APT delivers content on behalf of news companies, syndicates and public relations newswires. Text stories are delivered through the same network through which AP news is distributed, giving editors seamless access to all their content sources.
