The Associated Press and Kwiztek have teamed up to deliver new interactive online and mobile trivia games using AP’s news and entertainment content and Kwiztek’s gaming platform.

The new games will feature footage from AP Archive, the film and video archive of AP and one of the most comprehensive collections in the world, containing more than 1.5 million stories dating back to 1895. AP content will power Kwiztek’s innovative gaming interface, integrating facts and trivia with interstitial ads. The platform offers a number of branding, advertising, marketing, sponsorship, video and social media options for corporate clients.

“We are looking forward to to collaborating with Kwiztek and see it as a powerful opportunity to bring AP’s unparalleled content and brand to the consumer market in a fun and educational capacity,” said Ted Mendelsohn, AP vice president of commercial and digital markets. “AP covers the biggest news and entertainment stories around the globe and is pleased to offer this end-to-end solution for corporations seeking to strengthen their brand identities with their consumers via Kwiztek’s new gaming platform.”

John C. Daldin, managing director of Kwiztek, said: “We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with AP’s extensive footage catalog, which dates back over 100 years. We are well-positioned to power AP’s extraordinary collection of some of the most moving moments in history in a way that has never before been done. We are delighted AP has chosen to work with Kwiztek."
